What the owner says…
I have loved living here and will miss the community so much. My immediate neighbours, either side of me, are simply lovely. Bus routes along nearby Portland Road serve most main areas of Brighton and surrounding areas and arrive and depart regularly while both Hove and Aldrington stations are within walking distance, the former as we know providing a direct link to central London. It always gives us Hovarians a sense of smug satisfaction when we see visitors from London having to head for the train station at the weekends in the late afternoon, as we sit and enjoy the remainder of a warm summer evening on the beach. There is a fascinating array of independent shops lining most of Portland Road, which seem to cater for almost every need, while New Church Road in Central Hove has a considerable number of restaurants offering irresistible dining with worldwide influences. Pubs, all within walking distance of my property, such as The Westbourne, The Poets Corner, The George Payne, The Stoneham and The Ancient Mariner all offer something different and remain popular year-round constantly putting on events to serve the entire community and all trying to outdo each other with their Sunday roast extravaganzas. I am downsizing and will most certainly endeavour to stay locally.
