Description

Three DOUBLE bedroom, semi-detached property in a quiet Cul-de-sac in Southwell, Portland. Recent work includes a re-laid Driveway, Electric Roller Garage Door, Kitchen & Boiler.

Internal
An exceptional property in a desirable close, tucked away in Southwell. This property in Page Drive will cater to many audiences and especially suit a growing family, or alternatively would make an ideal home to retire to. All bedrooms are comfortable double rooms, (two with built in wardrobes) & the downstairs space flows nicely throughout. With the updated modern kitchen, recent new boiler installation, re-laid driveway and the electric roller garage door, you can rest assured most of the costly updates to a property have already been done.

The GROUND FLOOR has a very welcoming hallway, drawing light from the front porch door and window. The choice of light carpet and neutral walls really extenuates the natural light. The SITTING/DINING ROOM spans the length of the house on one side and continues the bright and airy feel with large windows looking out to either the well-kept and graveled frontage or the lovely rear garden. There are two doors that lead into this room. One from the hallway and the other from the kitchen. The KITCHEN offers a number of different storage options from cupboards to small and large/deep drawers whilst also making use of the corner base unit with a pull-out stainless-steel rack that tucks neatly away once you have closed the door. The dishwasher sits nicely below the ceramic sink drainer and an eye-level double oven provides ease of use for any individual. Another appealing feature is the internal access into the GARAGE where you will also find a downstairs CLOAKROOM. The GARAGE has had a number of electricity points installed and of course, the practical, electric roller door.

The FIRST FLOOR offers great accommodation. The MASTER BEDROOM can comfortably house a super-king bed with plenty of further space for drawers/cupboards if the generous built-in wardrobe is still not sufficient in size. BEDROOM TWO shares the same front aspect as the master bedroom and also offers a deep, built-in wardrobe. BEDROOM THREE is the smallest of the bedrooms but would not stop you from adding a double bed with room to spare. Some may sacrifice the bedroom size for the beautiful view over the rear garden and into the fields beyond. The BATHROOM is currently positioned with a walk-in shower and presented in a clean manner.

External
The recently laid driveway is big enough for a small car. You can alternatively park out the front of your property if you have more than one vehicle in the household. The front garden has been designed to be easy maintenance mostly being laid to gravel. You do have side access to the rear garden via the right-hand side of the house with the same, small stone/resin floor leading right to the back of the property. There’s a door from the kitchen that leads out to the side of the property to reach the rear garden. The sizeable REAR GARDEN is where you can truly experience the peace and quiet of this property’s position. There is a small patio area directly out the back on the house, with a couple of steps leading up to the main section. This is mostly laid to lawn but with an array of bushes and shrubs. There are two sheds both on hard standing ground, the fencing is in generally good condition and to top it off, equestrian fields behind the property.

AGENTS NOTES: As Portland continues to expand & grow, so does the number of cars and people generally on the island. What I particularly like about this house, is you are quite set back from any of the main roads. Especially with this property’s position, being on the side of the road where there are fields beyond the rear garden. Standing out in the rear garden was peaceful and made me appreciate this home even more. As mentioned, there have been a few costly jobs completed on this house over recent years, leaving the new future owners to focus on the easier, cost-effective tasks of redecorating to their taste. This property has catered for a family of four, later lending itself to a peaceful home to retire into. It really is a house that can adapt to your needs throughout life. The kitchen is lovely and modern, I also appreciate the dual aspect of the sitting/dining room. The integral garage is another great feature and it’s nice to see three, good-sized, double bedrooms upstairs.

Location
Portland is vastly becoming a hot spot for coastal living. With breath taking scenic walking routes found all throughout the island, popular climbing routes, the well-known Portland Sailing Academy and picturesque hot spots like Portland Bill and Chesil Cove, it is understandable as to why this island is becoming increasingly more popular year on year. Portland can also cater for schooling up to the age of 16 at the Atlantic Academy found in the Southwell Business Park. There are numerous supermarkets located throughout the island as well as some lovely local restaurants and boutique shops. There are a total of three beaches, a selection of easy-to-challenging walking routes and numerous different sailing activities/classes. The most popular pub is The Cove Inn where you will regularly find people enjoying a drink whilst watching the Sun set.
