Chalfont Drive is a quiet road in a leafy suburb – you’d never know that you were living so close to Nottingham city centre and all the amenities that it holds – it’s less than a ten minute drive by car, and there is a bus stop just down the road. The Showcase cinema, bowling alley and restaurants at Redfield Way are likewise, less than a ten minute drive away. To travel further afield, it’s just 15 minutes to get onto the M1 at either J25 or J26.

Closer to home there are great facilities on nearby Beechdale Road, including a new Lidl supermarket, a GP surgery, pharmacy, corner shop, cake shop and the fantastic Red Hat Chinese takeaway!

There is a small nature reserve hidden away within a 10 minute walk of here, and the beautiful Wollaton Hall and gardens is close by, complete with free roaming deer in the park and regular events throughout the year. Being on the West side of Nottingham, it is also only a short trip to get right out into the open countryside on the Derbyshire border.

I love the layout of the house, the open kitchen / diner at the rear gives me great views and access into my beautiful garden, which is perfect for a quiet cuppa, or for a bit of al-fresco entertaining! The garden can be enjoyed even after the sun has gone down due to the feature mains powered lighting that is installed along the paths and beds. Buying the house from new, I was able to opt for several upgrades including the carpets, bathroom fittings and a number of upgrades that I did to the kitchen, which I think really add to the quality feel of the house.

There is a real sense of community on the estate, everyone looks out for each other and there are active Neighbourhood watch and WhatsApp community groups. The new children’s’ playground just along the road is a big hit with local families.
