“We live in a great position in the village! It’s super easy to get on to the A60/A52/A46 and the No. 10 bus, which leaves just at the end of our road, runs in to town (stopping in West Bridgford) very regularly.
Our garden is a lovely size and not overlooked, so perfect for BBQs and entertaining in the summer, when it gets the sun all day; we are often out until 7/8pm catching the last of the rays! We have a great view from the garden, overlooking mature trees, and we often spot buzzards and egrets taking a rest in them.
We live less than a ten-minute walk into the centre of the village, where there’s an abundance of pubs, bars, restaurants and cafés (you’re really spoilt for choice!). The Indian restaurant “Three Spices” has won multiple food awards and is one of our favourite places to eat.
In addition to the standard amenities, there is also a farmers’ market on the village green every month, and of course the famous Ruddington Beer & Cider Festival (Ruddfest) which comes to the village every June.
We’ve really enjoyed the great sense of community in Ruddington, since moving here in 2014, and hope we can find our next home here as well!
