The property market in Bournemouth

Five years ago, house prices in Bournemouth, Poole, and Christchurch were above the national average and continue to be so today.

The real estate market is robust, and there isn’t enough supply at the moment, which is contributing to fierce buyer demand. We don’t anticipate this situation to change any time soon.

In Bournemouth, the real estate market has been on a steady rise for some time. House prices in Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole and surrounding areas have increased from £245,188 to an average of £309,741 over the past six years, a growth rate that is sure not going anywhere anytime soon!

Some of the most desirable areas in Bournemouth to buy a home include Westbourne, Boscombe, Sandbanks, Southbourne and Winton. The properties in these areas are very popular and often come with a high price tag.

If you’re looking for a more family-friendly setting, there’s nothing better than Southbourne. Houses in this area tend to be on the larger side, and it’s not uncommon to find properties with seven or eight bedrooms here.

In central Bournemouth, you’ll find many Victorian properties known to be very cosy, with original features and high ceilings. They can also come at a lower price than other areas in Bournemouth.

If you’re looking for something completely different, there’s nothing more unique than Sandbanks. Properties here are among the most expensive in the world, and the area has its shops and restaurants for residents of the area to enjoy.

Working with a good estate agent is essential if you’re looking for your first home, dream house, or investment opportunity. Their role is much more than simply finding the right home for you; they also ensure that the entire process goes as smooth as possible and protect your interests throughout your property search.

Many thanks to Ian for his recent support when considering a property TAUK were marketing. We really appreciate the honest and open conversation about the property, area and potential. Although we did not proceed, we found Ian to be a stand out agent in a sea of bland and we would happy leave a 5 star recommendation.

    Outstanding estate agent.

We are relocating to Bournemouth from London with a tricky search criteria in a difficult market. Ian from the start is very professional and extremely transparent agent. He made us feel assured at all times through the process of finding a new home. He balanced both parties expectations and needs perfectly. Never pressuring us to make rash decisions. Allowing plenty space and time to think and breath when things got a little pressured. Always available and accommodating with our requests. Very knowledgable in his trade and area giving good support and guidance to a non local purchaser. We would highly recommend Ian and certainly engage his services again until we find out new home. Thanks again Ian.

Absolutely fantastic. We couldn’t have asked for a better estate agent than Ian. From the very first email it’s been a perfect balance between professionalism and friendly advice about every aspect of purchasing our first home. As you can imagine buying your first home is always daunting and incredibly stressful (this is what I’ve heard) but it’s been an absolute breeze so far as Ian can’t do enough for us. He is at the end of the phone at a moments notice and responds promptly to any message no matter how complicated or potentially silly it might be. On our first initial meeting of viewing the property we spent over an hour walking round, asking questions and getting real answers from Ian and he didn’t hesitate or not know any of the questions we fired at him! No pressure what so ever to speed up the viewing, he couldn’t have given us more time if we asked (unlike a lot of others). We are potentially 3/4 of the way through our process and the updates are constant which is amazing and we don’t have to do any chasing as Ian personally deals from start to finish by himself, the less involved the better. We are so excited for the completion date so we can both give Ian a solid hand shake and thank him for all his work as we get our keys for our new home. I genuinely couldn’t recommend higher.
